All the artists, designers and coordinators have been working hard this week in preparation for the next wearable art workshop. We have been meeting to work on inspiration and concept and booth prep for the beginning of the workshop which coincides with the beginning of Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival (which it is also a part of).
Come out to City Hall during the Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival from Friday, April 22 until Monday, April 25 and check out the work being done by local artists, fashion designers, and indigenous knitters as a part of this wearable art workshop. We will be focusing on the strength of women as our concept and inspiration and the use of knitting as a main technique.
This is a continuation of the first Wearable Art Workshop, put on by LASANAA, an alternative art space and Sirjana College of Fine Arts, from March 27th until April 1.
You will be able to see the previous wearable art pieces from the first workshop and the work in progress of the current workshop. While you are at it, check out some of the films being presented as a part of NIIFF.
12 pm until 5 pm
The final presentation will be Monday, April 25 at 1 pm.
Hope to see you there!
