LASANAA is an art trust officially registered as a non-profit company in 2007. The credo of Lasanaa is to bring people together to allow learning through exchange. Lasanaa provides opportunities for national and international artists to create individual expressions by exploring beyond traditional art forms. Lasanaa’s main objective is to bring about changes in society through art workshops, residencies and discourse. We have strengthened our commitment towards different projects and events for the development of a communication and exchange network for artists within the country and in around the globe.

Since its inception, LASANAA has become a platform for experimentation by providing new concepts and materials to Nepali artists. Throughout the years we have organized a number of projects including several national and international workshops, various local workshops, exhibitions and presentations. Lasanaa has been organizing monthly art discourses for the past two and a half years for national and international artists. As part of these initiatives, we have brought several artists from countries such as Asia, Europe, and the United States to further collaboration and exchange. In time, Lasanaa hopes to develop a learning site that develops into an alternative art institute. LASANAA, has been developing and implementing different projects to provide its unique brand of ‘artivism’ i.e. art + activism. Thus, LASANAA has succeeded in playing an important role as a resource for contemporary artists and art connoisseurs of Nepal.
